Bathrooms were not very clean. No hooks to hang towels/toiletries.
In all,a wonderful place for kids to run and play free! Very large campsites at reasonable prices. Individual cabins are cozy quaint and clean. It's great that they come around and offer firewood wild camping on a weekend for a nominal fee. Very close to the lake so access is convenient. Off-road vehicles are no problem.
Folks at campground were not "camping" people. More interested in partying. I didn't trust my kids to move about freely-- thought they would be hit by a car. Tough crowd.
Very loud both nights we were here. Different groups up LOUD past 1:00/2:00 am. Cars driving through campground very fast at all hours. No campground manager to be seen.
The campground us set up well, but campground hosts (if there are hosts) should enforce curfew. People were outside up late both nights well past typical, respectful quiet hours, and were loud. Frustrating when we have little kids who need to sleep (they had young kids, too--kept them up with them) and when they had no regard for the other campers.
Great campground for a good price ($25/night). About 5-6 miles from town, easy access from interstate if you take Bloom exit, beach access at marina, updated playground equipment, clean modern bath house with 2 shower stalls, but no sewer hookup (but on site sewer dump station) and elec/water hookup was very far away-had to go buy a longer water hose (50ft JUST made it as you can see from last photo). Nice camp employees, moderate to good distance between sites so fairly good privacy. Lots of trees so helped cut down on wind and heat while we were there. Shower in bath house had nice hot water first night (~11pm) but next day at 1pm, water very quickly turned cool. Our Fire ring was barely adequate. Regular size but seemed like it was almost just set on the hilly ground, flames were very easily coming from under the ring to the surrounding dry grass/leaves on the ground and had to often be extinguished. Would visit again!
Great weekend with family. Spent Saturday on fishing dock. Had blowup boat put water in for little ones. Everyone had fun. Only two big perch caught
